FastPay is the new cashless program available to faculty, staff, student, and other individuals affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Developed by the Department of Nutrition & Food Services (NFS) in partnership with Campus Life Services (CLS), this voluntary program is available to anyone at no cost.

How does it work?

First you need an official UCSF or UCSF Medical Center ID badge. This badge must have a proximity wire in the badge. A vast majority of all UCSF badges have this feature and all badges issued within the last several years do with a few exceptions. If you are not sure, simply swipe your badge at an access control panel.

Next you need to create a FastPay account with our FreedomPay vendor at http://www.freedompay.com. You choose how you want to fund your account either through your bank account, credit, or debit card. We STRONGLY encourage people to use their bank account. as FreedomPay charges a nominal transaction fee on all credit or debit transaction.
